Egypt/Israel

4 days and I'm leaving!!  Woot-woot!  Be praying for us!

Monday, April 28, 2008

Well, most of you probably know this already, but May 22 I head to Egypt and Israel for two weeks.  Three days in Egypt the rest in Israel.  So that's my story!! And I'm sticking to it!

It's been over six months since I've posted on here.  Not that exciting things haven't happened, but I usually just do updates on myspace and facebook now.  But I got my wisdom teeth pulled out today.  I now have four gaping holes in my mouth.  The nurse said that the doctor never had to spend so long taking teeth out before.  I guess it usually only takes like 15-30 minutes and it took close to an hour to do mine.  Or so they tell me.  They didn't even have me count down backwards from ten.  They put some oxygen over my nose, put in the IV, asked me if I started feeling loopy, I said yes, and that's the last thing I remember.  I vaguely remember being moved from the chair to the recovery room, but even that is blurry.

The bleeding has almost stopped, but I was tired of having the gauze in my mouth.  It was making me drool.  I think I'm going to go for a milkshake tonight.  I'm hungry.  I haven't eaten since last night.

So that's my news for today.

Please pray for the country of Guatemala.  As of November 1, 2007, adoption will no longer be legal.  This means that many of the orphanages will be closing, leaving so many children on the streets with no hope and no future.  My sister Jessica is adopted from an orphanage called Casa Berna Be, and because so many orphanages are closing down, Casa Berna Be is being asked to take in more babies and children.  They have had to turn away many because they just don't have the finances to take care of them all.

Please pray with me that God would provide for these children and that this law will not hold forever.

School starts tomorrow.  Not really looking forward to it.  This semester is going to be hard and I am already starting out with not knowing where my books got to in the mail.

List to do tonight:
- find my ID
- pack my backpack
- figure out what to wear
- shower
- change my sheets
- get some sleep

My school is starting to irritate me a little...ok, a lot.  I have about had it up to HERE.  Anyone know of a decent school I can go to, get a good education for cheap?  How about Pensacola.  We shall see...

So registration was this morning and then I got home, went to the lake with my family, left early, went to work and made some pretty good money for it being so slow.

That is all I have.
